Woman in Data Kosovo serves as a welcoming organization for all individuals interested in championing and bolstering women within the realm of data science and analytics. Our primary objective revolves around fostering a nurturing community encompassing both women and men who share a fervor for data and technology. We are dedicated to furnishing them with the essential resources and avenues that pave the way for career progression and the attainment of their aspirations.

In conjunction with our array of programs, events, and undertakings, our core aim is to ignite and fortify women’s pursuit of careers in the sphere of data science and its interconnected fields. We firmly believe that hands-on involvement constitutes a pivotal facet of learning. To this end, we proffer hands-on experience projects specifically designed for women. These projects serve as a platform for honing data analytics and IT skills, enabling participants to translate theory into practical application. By engaging in these projects, our members garner firsthand experience within a real-world context, thereby accumulating invaluable expertise pivotal to their professional journey.

Within the confines of Women in Data Kosovo, we provide an expansive array of educational and professional advancement prospects. These encompass training workshops, mentorship initiatives, and networking rendezvous. Our membership base thrives on diversity, encompassing individuals hailing from various backgrounds and proficiency levels. We extend an open invitation to anyone eager to delve deeper into the realms of data science and analytics, facilitating an environment ripe for exploration and growth.

Our mission since day one has been to increase diversity in data careers because we know representation and participation of all kinds matters, especially in growing, in-demand roles across data and technology.

At our core, we want to achieve gender equality and empower women and girls in the field of data. Unfortunately, gender parity remains far off around the world. Whether it’s often carrying the burden of unpaid work (hello moms everywhere) or not being made aware or given the same opportunities as men, women are still falling behind.

These inequalities don’t just impact the wealth and well-being of women, they impact our society overall. Data and technology are driving the solutions that inform the way we will live our lives today and in the future. If we don’t have diverse representation in those working in this space, we’re not bringing forward ideas, products and services that are suitable for everyone within our communities. We all lose.

The good news is, we know this is a solvable problem. We may not have all the answers now, but we’re working on it, and we believe we can close the gender gap and increase diversity in data careers if we work together.
